MASONIC EDUCATION AND Programs

 

Charter: The purpose of this Committee is to increase the knowledge of Masonic history, philosophy and symbolism, and enhance the leadership abilities of the members of the Grand Lodge, A.F. & A.M., of Virginia. 

 

Duties: It shall conduct such conferences, seminars and forums of Masonic education and programs as it may deem appropriate or as the Grand Master may order. It shall review and approve all programs of the Grand Lodge concerning Masonic education.

 

Programs can be submitted through Ask Hiram or directly through one of the Divisional Representatives for consideration.  For further information on this committee please contact the committee chairman

2009 Masonic Forum -  On January 10, 2009, a Masonic forum was held at the Richmond Scottish Rite Building, 4204 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Virginia.  The ultimate goal was to give seeds of thought to the leaders from every body of Freemasonry, setting a tone for future management of the concerns each body might have, seasoned by an awareness of what the next generation of prospective members will expect.

Masonic Education Talks for the District Educational Officers -  the Committee on Masonic Education and Publications has developed Masonic Talks which can be used by the District Educational Officer to provide education on a variety of Masonic topics.

Masonic Leadership and Correspondence Courses -  The Committee on Masonic Education and Publications proudly presents this program on self-improvement to all Master Masons within the Grand Jurisdiction of Virginia. This program has been developed to assist the individual Mason, as well as the Blue Lodge.  A well-rounded Mason will use this program as but one method of improving himself. Registration Form

 

Myths About Freemasonry -  in the form of a play.  It deals with much of the misinformation concerning Masonry and was developed to help our members set the record straight in clear and concise language.
