Right Worshipful Jeffery Eugene Hodges was born in Norfolk,
Virginia, on May 10, 1957. He graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, received
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Richmond and a DDS Degree in Dentistry
from the Medical College of Virginia. Brother Hodges has been in private practice in
Charlottesville since 1983 and previously worked as a clinical faculty member of the
Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry.
Brother Hodges was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason
in Widow’s Sons’ Lodge No. 60 on August 26, 1985. He is a Life Member in Perpetuity
and served as its Worshipful Master in 1996. He is also a Life Member in Perpetuity
of Fredericksburg Lodge No. 4 and Mount Jackson Lodge No. 103. He was District Deputy
Grand Master of Masonic District No. 18 in 1999. He is the Grand Representative to the
Grand Lodge of Western Australia, near Virginia. He was elected Grand Junior Deacon in 2004.
He is a member of the Valley of Lynchburg and the Valley of
Richmond, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, where he received the Knight Commander
Court of Honor in 2007; Keystone Royal Arch Chapter No. 58; Charlottesville Commandery
No. 3; Acca Shrine Center, A.A.O.N.M.S.; Richmond Court No. 16, Royal Order of
Jesters; and the Royal Order of Scotland. He is a Past President of the Piedmont
Shrine Club and Past Commander of the Acca Mini Patrol and
Past Patron of Queen Esther Chapter No. 14, Order of the Eastern Star. He is a Life
Member in Perpetuity of Fredericksburg Chapter No. 545, National Sojourners
and several Lodges in the Grand Lodge of Scotland. He served as Chairman of the
Bicentennial Committee for Widow’s Sons’ Lodge No. 60 in 1999.
Brother Hodges is a recipient of the Eagle Scout Award, Boy
Scouts of America. He holds membership in the American Dental Association, the Virginia
Dental Association and the Charlottesville/Albemarle County Dental Association.
He is married to the former Susan Elaine Lascola of
Newport News, Virginia, and resides in Charlottesville. They are the proud parents of
a son, Jason, and a daughter, Ashley. He is an active member in First United Methodist Church.
